Thanks you for being a part of the conversation.
Welcome everybody to It's a Privilege podcast. This is just a promo. So we're going to hop into all the details really quickly because the episodes really drop August 9th, 4 All of this stems from my TEDx talk that I gave called The Possibilities of Privilege in March in 2024. So let's take a quick look at one of the pieces from that video. You might have more privilege than me, and that's okay. In fact, I think that might be a good thing if you have access to clean, drinkable water. You're in the top 73% of the world. If you live in a democracy, you're on the 45th percentile of the world. And that's being pretty generous with the definition of democracy. If you make more than $60,000 a year, you're in the top 1% of the world. All of us, all of you have privilege. The cool thing about the possibilities of privilege is that we all have privilege, and we just have to figure out a way to use it more effectively. I highly encourage you to watch the full YouTube Ted talk. Feel free to leave a comment. Feel free to leave your thoughts. Feel free to create a conversation, because that will give you the foundation of what this podcast is all about. So what are we going to talk about? We have some cool topics and a lot of really great guests. Here are a few of the topics and the folks that are going to be on the show. We have Lex Gillette, a blind five time Paralympic medalist and an 18 time national champion at the time of this recording. He's on his way to Paris to compete in the Paralympics. We talk about accessibility and blindness. We also have Stephanie Jurczyk, Rotary International president of 2425 of the 1.4 million Rotarians around the world with her. We talk about the privilege of family. We have Brian Glenn, a shelter box response team leader. He's the type of guy that goes into disasters around the world. He's on the ground working with the people that are there, and we talk about aid and shelter. So mark your calendars. August 9th. It's a privilege podcast with a guest list that's way too long to mention here. Go to Privilege Pod com or Privilege Pod on all the social medias and check out the videos, the promos, everything coming down the line.
